|Geurt Jan (1960) is a medical Doctor, trained in Utrecht. He has been working in various marketing and sales management functions in the pharmaceutical / chemical industry for circa 9 years. At last active in the area of business development, implementation of new business units and the acquisition / divestement of business units / companies. In these years he developed himself in the area of marketing & sales, leadership / general management.
Since 1996 he is active as Trainer / Executive Coach / Advisor at RoutsLaeven. Since 2001 he is the Managing Partner.
Among the broad portfolio of commercial skills, his special interests and expertise lay within the field of Complex Negotiations, Leadership Coaching and Systemic / Psychological aspects. The combination of his people orientation and business saviness makes him a Trusted Advisor. He is an alumnus of IMD and Harvard (executive learning courses).
Geurt Jan has a broad expertise in various markets (FMCG, Farma, Tech. Service Industries, Research / Knowledge Industries, Advisory / Services Industries). Throughout the years he developed a special focus within the Family Business. In this area his focus on business and people creates added value.
Geurt Jan is an in- law of a 4th generation Family owned Multinational. He has been playing a leading role in building a Family Council and has been chairman of this Council for several years.
He has a broad expertise in designing and implementing learning academies and uses workplace learning principles to ‘drive business performance through learning’. He is still active as a Designer of Learning Solutions and Executive Coach on Leadership / Negotiation / Conflict Management.
Geurt Jan is married and a proud father of two sons and a daughter. He is a passionate painter and golfer. Moreover he is the author of the book “Mastering the Art of Negotiating – Seven Guides for creating your Journey”.
